One of the projects i've being working on right now is for a wonderful non-profit called Amend ». Amend.org is a New York City based nonprofit/NGO that addresses the neglected epidemic of child pedestrian injury in the developing world. Amend.org is a registered NGO in Ghana and has an office in the capital, Accra. To date, Amend.org has reached over 20,000 children with “Be Seen, Be Safe,” our flagship child pedestrian safety program.
Road traffic injuries are the number one cause of death and disability for children in Africa between the ages of 5 and 21. Chaotic driving, a lack of infrastructure, rapid economic development, and other factors contribute to Africa's astronomically high rates of child pedestrian injury. For every child killed, many more suffer debilitating injuries. And once a child is injured, generally poor medical care, if any, is available, making it all the more impor- tant to prevent injuries before they happen.

an Industrial designer, with a team of ID Designers. Amend has initiated the development of reflective bookbags which can be worn
by children daily and contain reflective material on all visible sides. The design of the bag is currently being finalized and readied for production.
My task was to create a simplified logo in the shape of an eye, which can be carried in reflective material, on the bag, across billboards, communications, and educational materials for pedestrians and drivers.
